We plan Sri Lanka for travellers who want variety without long transfers, leopards and elephants, and a tea-country train ride worth the hype — with the timing, the routing and the rooms decided before you leave, and someone reachable while you are away.
A typical Third Door itinerary here leans on the Kandy to Ella train through the tea estates, leopard tracking in Yala or Wilpattu with a private vehicle, Sigiriya and Dambulla at first light. January to March is the window we recommend most often. The main season: dry beaches in the south, good wildlife in Yala. We will steer you by what you actually want from the trip rather than by peak season alone.
10–12 nights on a loop. Shorter is possible and we plan it regularly, but the pace changes: fewer bases, less driving, one region done properly instead of three done quickly.
